When I became pregnant, I was told to switch to mineral sunscreen—but every option felt like a compromise: heavy, chalky, or filled with ingredients I didn’t trust.

I was shocked by how many toxic ingredients were hiding in everyday products. After trying dozens of natural mineral sunscreens, I became determined to create one that 1) didn’t make me want to immediately wash my face, and 2) didn’t leave a white cast on my skin. Oh, and it had to be something I actually looked forward to using every single day. No biggie.

I’ve been immersed in the beauty industry my entire adult life—starting as a sales trainer for Smashbox, Dr. Perricone, and Bite Beauty, then becoming Head of Product Development for Skinn Cosmetics, and later Head of Sales for a leading cosmetics packaging and formulation company. I always knew I would create something of my own—something truly different.
